Creating and implementing Falconship (micro-internships) at Albertus Magnus College corresponded to the pandemic and everything that followed. At Albertus Magnus College, most of our population stems from Post Graduate Degrees and or accelerated programs. Many of our adult or evening learners may or may not have the traditional experience or time to give that a traditional undergatae student can afford. Thus, creating Falconships gives our students, which comprise 62% persons of color, a real chance to receive experiential education that will assist them in gathering professional skills and getting paid without giving up too much time. In addition, all projects are paid and can turn into a possible internship or career opportunity in the future. 80% of all Micro-Internships go into diverse and underrepresented peoples due to the flexibility of hours and chance to gain monetary/transferable skills.
